Brighton sells Trossard to Arsenal for £21 million.

Leandro Trossard, a Belgian striker, joined Arsenal from Brighton for £21 million plus add-ons.

The 28-year-deal old’s has a 2027 expiration date and a one-year extension clause.

In 16 appearances this season in the top tier, he has seven goals and three assists for Brighton.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated, “He knows the league here and I think he can have an immediate influence in the club.”

The Gunners claim to have submitted the necessary paperwork and are hopeful that Trossard will be available for Sunday’s match against Manchester United at Emirates Stadium (16:30 GMT).

Arteta remarked, “We’re incredibly thrilled to have him,” and he had trained with the team on Friday.

“We have been watching him for a while, and now that the chance has presented itself, we need to have a player in the front line who can play multiple positions.”

Arteta Trossard, who made three appearances for Belgium at the 2022 World Cup, will wear number 19 for Arsenal. This means that Arsenal can play “far better” this year.

Arteta believes it is “extremely vital” to attract players who can adapt fast because the Gunners are currently in first place in the Premier League.

We need to consider the short, medium, and long terms, and he, I believe, gives us all of that, the man added. He is a highly wise gamer.

He is a guy who suits our style of play without a doubt when you look at his career and recent accomplishments, and we are thrilled to have him.

After a disagreement with manager Roberto de Zerbi, Trossard’s agent, Josy Comhair, stated last week that the forward wanted to leave Brighton and would not sign a new deal.

He was not included in the team for the 3-0 victory over Liverpool at home because he had left practice early without authorization.
